"We had a wonderful week staying in Claude and Nadines beautiful house. The pool and surrounding gardens were lovely and we spend a lot of time at the accommodation as it was so nice. Our one year old son loved the swimming pool and playing in the orchard at the back of the house. Claude was very helpful in directing us to Pont-l'Évêque, the pretty local village with everything you need and a great market on Sunday mornings. We cycled there down a disused railway which was brilliant. There is also a lake near the village which has a beach and is great for swimming. We had an amazing week and would fully recommend this accommodation to young families and couples. Claude and Nadine were also brilliant in providing a travel cot and high chair, both of which were immaculate, just like everything else in the house! Thank you for a wonderful week, memories we will cherish forever. Alex, Georgina and Zack."

"We hebben echt een ongelooflijk gezellige reis gehad dankzij Claude en Nadine. We logeerden hier met onze dochter van 1,5 jaar en het huis was perfect in orde. Het verwarmde zwembad wordt dagelijks onderhouden en de omgeving is ook prachtig als je van voldoende rust houdt (eerste winkel in de buurt is 20min rijden). De keuken heeft alles van apparatuur en de Weber-BBQ hebben we elke dag gebruikt. Hoewel je vlak naast de woning van Claude en Nadine logeert heb je toch voldoende privacy en kan je helemaal je ding doen. Absolute aanrader voor jonge koppels op zoek naar rust."

"Vi havde en fantastisk uge i Claude og Nadines hyggelige hus. Placeringen af huset er helt unik midt i skoven, og alligevel er der kort til by og strand. Stedet egner sig helt perfekt til en lille familie med den skønneste swimmingpool og terrasse, hvor vi tilbragte det meste af dagen, når ikke vi udforskede omegnen. Der er utrolig god adgang til information både i det kartotek, der står i huset, og gennem de yderst behagelige og diskrete værter. Vi kan klart anbefale et ophold hos Claude og Nadine."

"Vi havde et fantastisk ophold hos Claude og Nadine! Huset er ikke så stort men der er alt hvad man har brug for. Og med en kæmpe have og en skøn pool, er det svært at få det bedre. Huset ligger afsides, så man skal ha bil. Til gengæld er det midt i fantastisk natur og der er ro! Claude og Nadine er virkelig gode værter - de hjælper gladeligt med råd og vejledning, men er der ellers ikke. Kan kun give den bedste anbefaling!"

"Først og fremmest tak til Claude & Nadine for nogle dejlige dage i Normandiet. Alting levede til fulde op til forventningerne. Super hyggeligt hus. Dejlige landlige omgivelser og en pool til ungerne - perfekt. Udover en super base er der rigtigt mange fine udflugter man kan gøre i området. Massere af fransk hygge, historiske pladser og uden de horder af turister man finder ved Middelhavet. Alt i alt en rigtigt fin oplevelse vi på det varmeste kan anbefale til andre gæster."

Des hôtes accueillants et sympathiques. 
Une piscine chauffée dont on peut profiter même les jours un peu gris. 
Des visites et activités nombreuses dans les environs. 
Bonne situation géographique mais avec un lieu de vacances aussi reposant pourquoi chercher à aller à la plage... 
Ma petite famille a bien apprécié le séjour et recommande la Chaumière Vauquelin de Claude et Nadine à tous les vacanciers qui ont envie de se ressourcer entourés d'une végétation luxuriante dans un cadre paysager."

"A beautiful cottage, gorgeous gardens, and lovely pool, perfect for a short stay in this area. The local area has lots to explore and easy access to the sea, the shops and some beautiful local towns for wandering around. Claude and Nadine were charming and helpful hosts, making us feel very welcome and also giving us the privacy to let us completely relax. We had everything we needed, including fantastic weather, and we would definitely like to return"

"We had a wonderful week at La Chaumiere Vauquelin! The house, garden and swimming pool were stunning, in a perfect location, very secluded but close to the sea and many beautiful places such as Honfleur, Trouville, Pont L'Eveque... The children loved the pool and we enjoyed the many local markets, delicious food and restaurants. Our hosts were brilliant, helpful and very welcoming. We would definitely come back again!"

"Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. La piscine (que Claude entretient tous les jours) est évidemment un gros plus, mais l'immense jardin (un hectare de terrain) a aussi ravi ma fille car idéal pour jouer au badminton ou Frisbee ou tout autre activité de plein air. L'ensemble est très isolé même du village donc repos et détente garantis. Autre plus, Claude et Nadine font bien les choses car dans la maison se trouve tout un lexique d'activités et lieux à découvrir classés par leur soin selon la distance du gite. Bref, une très belle expérience que je recommande, et un très grand merci à nos hôtes."

" Vi havde en dejlig uges ferie i Normandiet i Claude og Nadines hyggelige feriebolig, som til fulde levede op til vores forventninger. Skøn pool og dejlig velholdt have med mange blomster. Køkken faciliteterne var fine og der var desuden en weber havegrill til vores rådighed. Jeg vil gerne anbefale denne feriebolig til min familie og venner. Mvh Allan. "

"Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und alles da, was man braucht. Der Garten mit dem tollen Pool - beheizt und nachts beleuchtet - ist ein toller Ort zum ausspannen! Die Blumenpracht ist außergewöhnlich schön!! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und eine wunderschöne Woche dort verbracht!! Wir bedanken uns bei Nadine und Claude für ihre Hilfsbereitschaft!!"

"We had a lovely time at La Chaumiere Vauquelin. Claude and Nadine were very welcoming, available if we needed them and at the same time allowed us our privacy so it was really like we had the place to ourselves. The house and the pool were beautifully clean and the pool was kept at a lovely temperature. We visited the lovely towns of Trouville, Honfleur and Bayeux and were very impressed by the Bayeux tapestry. We enjoyed some lovely restaurant lunches as well as a nice picnic at the lake at Pont L'Eveque. We barbecued in the evenings on the excellent Weber barbecue that was at our disposal. We would thoroughly recommend staying here. Louise and Shelagh from London."

"Claude et Nadine sont très sympathiques. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le séjour passé chez eux. Nous y avons trouvé ce que nous recherchions à savoir le calme, la nature (bravo pour leur magnifique jardin, fidèle aux photos) sans oublier bien sûr la piscine (le détail qui change tout). En plus on est pas trop loin des grandes villes en bordure de mer pour les petites escapades. Nous sommes reparti requinqué!!!"

"We (2 adults, 2 children) spent one week in Claude's and Nadine's cosy little house in the middle of the Norman woods surrounded by a beautiful large garden. The cottage is fully equipped, there is a heated pool and there are also 2 horses that live there which our girls loved a lot. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and speak perfect English for those who do not speak French. There are a lot of sightseeing possibilities in the surroundings. We can highly recommand that place for someone who loves nature and peaceful surroundings."

"Claude and Nadine were very hospitable. We checked in with them most evenings while they attended to the swimming pool (covering it up for the night). They would ask how our day had been and suggested places to visit the next day, following our expressed interests. The cottage was wonderful; equipped with all modern necessities, yet with a classic local heritage experience. We staid at the cottage with excellent weather, which made our two girls (4 and 5 years old) inseparable with the pool. The cottage, with its thatched roof, remained nice and cool despite the warm weather. The must see sites like Honfleur or Pont l'Evêque or the beach were less than half an hour drive away, taking us over ancient old roads through beautiful sceneries."

"Quelle belle semaine en pleine campagne normande mais si proche de la mer.
Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires mais toujours discrets.
Petite chaumiere très agréable plein sud , très soignée, joliment décorée et très bien équipée.
Vue magnifique sur un jardin fleuri et arboré d'une grande beauté.
Terrasse et piscine au soleil du matin au soir (nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d'une splendide semaine en juillet 2014).
Un calme absolu, un vrai bonheur trop court. Avons encore découvert un petit coin de paradis.
Nous avons adoré votre propriété et notre séjour.

"We spend a wonderful time in this little gem in Normandy. The house is small, but everything you need is there, the pool is clean and heated and the large garden is truly beautiful. If you're looking for some peace and quiet this is definitely the place to go. Plus the surrounding area offers lots of things to do, beaches, castles, lovely little towns etc. being only a short drive away. Claude and Nadine were attentive and friendly hosts, giving us advice when needed, but at the same time being very discreet. Thank you for making our visit so memorable, we're looking forward to coming back!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Brassens house. A very nice and cosy holiday home, where we were with our two small children. The kids slept on the sofa bed, which was perfect. The swimming pool was warm and we had our own private garden. The surroundings are beautiful, as is the immense garden. We would really recommend it to couples who would like to explore Normandy, as well as to families with small children."
